In my post about judging others, I received those verses from an email, and automatically assumed it to be accurate. Although it was a small error that I quoted verse 5 instead of verse 6 in Surah 49, it goes to show how I can be careless whether the verse is even right or not.
So beware of false emails, the email I got was probably just a typo, but especially with hadeeth, not all of us have...

Suspicion and judging others
Allah says: ”O you who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest you harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what you have done.” [Noble Quran 49:6] He also warns us: ”O you who believe!
